The 50th World Tourism Summit ended yesterday with member countries signing the Copacabana Declaration to enhance co-operation in the promotion of tourism among their countries. The Mayor of Copacabana appeared to ba the most enthusiastic delegate of the convention. For many years, Copacabana has famed itselfas a well known holiday destination as well as a convention centre. It has all the features of a modern city - state with good infrasturcture as well as a high standard of living. For several years it has been able to earn substantial revenue from its services sector, especially tourism. It has aquired the label as a fun place to shop and a food paradise. With its limited land and natural resources, Copacabana has indeed been a tourism miracle.

Another Point About Copacabana

"With its limited land and natural resources" see... the other countries around Copacabana may have other natural resources, which means it has an advantage over Copacabana. Copacabana has to spend its own money on the resources, and it would be easier for the other countries to use their own resources to win Copacabana. Still, Copacabana is advertising for the other countries. So, the other countries may win Copacabana.

New point about Copacabana

Since Copacabana is a
rather small state, and it mainly uses up its space for malls and hotels and the like, it can't possibly have any space left for agriculture, much less reservoirs. So, it has to have its food imported and its water pumped in from other countries, right? So... if there was a war or if the food and water supply was cut off, would Copacabana survive?
